Unboxing

The term "unboxing" has taken a whole new meaning in today's youtube era. From the website http://knowyourmeme.com, they defined unboxing as:

Unboxing is the unpacking of new products, especially hi-tech consumer products. The whole process is captured on video and later uploaded to the Internet. The term has been labeled a new form of “geek porn.” On youtube, users like to video tape themselves opening up a package of a product for advertising or bragging. The oldest video on YouTube using the name “unboxing” is the opening of a boxed Nokia E61 smartphone, uploaded on June 12, 2006. There are, however, older videos on the site that show the same activity but using other names such as “opening” or “unpacking”
Whether you think a product unboxing is a holy geek ritual in itself or just plain bragging; or maybe you just want to check what's in the box, sit back and watch these videos from around the world, as they unbox their goods in front of you. Hey, this might even be you!

I don't understand the Japanese language, and I have no idea what he's saying, but I like the enthusiasm of this guy. You can really feel that he is genuinely excited in unboxing his gear. Much like a kid opening his gifts on Christmas day. I've watched his other unboxing videos, and I get excited too like I was there opening boxes with him.
